Joshua Amissah, is an art mediator, photo editor, curator, and writer. He began his journey by completing his Fine Arts and Photography studies at Zurich University of the Arts before venturing int professional realm of arts and culture.

Joshua's work revolves around the powerful connection between images and language, which he skillfully employs in his roles as a photo editor, art mediator, and curator. His expertise and keen eye have earned him several accolades, including the prestigious Design award of ZHdK in 2021 for his remarkable photography book titled "Black Masculinities." This captivating book delves into the intricate nuances of black masculinity, featuring a diverse collection of images contributed by various talented artists. Notably, "Black Masculinities" has been nominated for the Swiss Design Award 2023, further solidifying its impact and significance.

In addition to his visual contributions, Joshua has made his mark as a writer and editor, lending his voice and insights to various publications. He has also shared his knowledge and experiences on a range of podcasts and as a guest speaker at renowned art and design institutes. His curatorial endeavors include noteworthy projects such as the Black Art Matters exhibition and co-curating photoSCHWEIZ.
